Tinnitus remedy can you recommend any that really produces results.?
My heart breaks when I have to witness my friend struggling to cope with ringing in her ears! That is not the worst of it though, as she find it hard to fall asleep her general health is also starting to suffer. It seems that as she is always so stressed and up tight, she doesn’t get to sleep much and always seems to catch every infection that is going around. Can this resulting from the tinnitis? Where can I get a tinnitus treatments right now.

    • mohammad A says:

Please don’t get too stressed out. I know that most people will tell you that there is no cure but my friend found a website http://www.t-gone.com that offered much support in determining the cause of her tinnitus problem. So I would advise spending some time there.

what is the best remedy for tinnitus?
i have tried zinc, ginko biloba, and ascorbic acid or vitamin C 1000 mg twice daily and none them seem to work. Please help!

    • artgal1285 says:

That depends entirely on the cause. Have you had it evaluated by an ear, nose and throat specialist? If you haven’t you’re just wasting time and money on things that may have no bearing on the problem.

I know what you’re going through. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for tinnitus. The pills don’t work. Herbal supplements don’t work. All you can do is use techniques to help you not concentrate on the noise. Use “white noise” machines to help mask your internal “ringing”. Try not to dwell on it. Protect your hearing by not exposing yourself to high noise levels which would make it worse. That’s all there is right now.

Is there any natural remedy for bronchitis and tinnitus?
I have had tinnitus for nearly a year now and am now rather deaf in my right ear as a result. I also get bronchitis a lot.like about every six months. I am on a lot of tablets for my heart so have to be careful about what I take in conjunction with what I am on.

    • Nevada Smith says:

I use to get bronchitis twice a year but haven’t had it for 9 months now. In November I had a cold which previously whenever I got a cold it would develop into bronchitis and hang on for weeks or months. This time I did not get bronchitis. The only thing I was doing different was taking Concentrace [trace mineral] and Indiumease [Indium supplement - Indium is also a trace mineral]

I can’t be sure that this is what make the difference but the longer I go without getting bronchitis the more convinced I’ll be.

Is there any remedy for tinnitus or chronic ringing in the ears.?
The tinnitus developed approximately 6 months ago.
Hearing tests confirmed hearing loss from loud noise,
but cannot pick up the ringing that I am experiencing.
With background noise present , conversations are quite difficult to understand. Any ideas?

    • Meekla says:

First you need to figure out what’s causing the ringing. Are you having sinus problems? Do you have a collection of extra fluid in your inner ear?

There are many things that can cause the ringing, and several treatments that can be done to relieve it- but it may never go away completely. The hearing test won’t pick up the ringing, only the hearing loss.

You can have an MRI done of your head so that they can tell if you have fluid in your inner ear, or if the nerve endings in your inner ear are damaged.

If you’ve seen an ENT, and and aren’t satisfied with the results you got you can always get a second opinion.

I am seeking a homeopathic remedy for tinnitus for my mother , doctor said live with it!?
She has constant ringing in both ears this has been going on for a year or more !

    • oldtimekid2 says:

Are you asking more for a brand or for information about them? I’ve seen a few on the market like RingStop or Lipoflavonoid (which is not homeopathic, but it helps the ears) that people do get a lot of relief from. I’ve tried some of the formulas and have gotten some relief from ringing in my ears from them, but it should be pointed out that it can potentially take several months to have complete relief, too. I noticed that my ringing was decreased within a couple months and I couldn’t handle taking the pills anymore (high priced and gave me a bad taste I didn’t like), but my ringing wasn’t terribly bad to start with. If it’s bad enough that she needs the help, I would definitely recommend trying them so long as she’s aware of all that… they really do help if you can get past those “down sides”. Good luck and I hope I helped!

To treat your tinnitus, your doctor will first try to identify any underlying, treatable conditions that may be associated with your symptoms. If tinnitus is due to a health condition, your doctor may be able to take steps that could reduce the noise. Examples include:

      - Earwax removal. Removing impacted earwax can decrease tinnitus symptoms.

      - Treating a blood vessel condition. Underlying vascular conditions may require medication, surgery or another treatment to address the problem.

      - Changing your medication. If a medication you’re taking appears to be the cause of tinnitus, your doctor may recommend stopping or reducing the drug, or switching to a different medication.

      Noise suppression

In some cases “white noise” may help suppress the sound so that it’s less bothersome. Your doctor may suggest using an electronic device to suppress the noise. These devices include:

      - White noise machines. These devices, which produce noise simulating environmental sounds such as falling rain or the ocean, are often an effective treatment for tinnitus. You may want to try a white noise machine with pillow speakers to help you sleep.

      - Hearing aids. This can be especially helpful if you have hearing problems as well as tinnitus.
Masking devices. Similar to hearing aids, these devices produce a continuous, low-level white noise that suppresses tinnitus symptoms.
      Medications

Drugs can’t cure tinnitus, but in some cases they may help reduce the severity of symptoms or complications. Possible medications include:

      - Tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline and nortriptyline, have been used with some success. However, these medications are generally only used for severe tinnitus, as they can cause troublesome side effects, including dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation and heart problems.

      - Alprazolam (Niravam, Xanax) may help reduce tinnitus symptoms, but side effects can include drowsiness and nausea. It also has the potential to become habit-forming.

      - Acamprosate (Campral), a drug used to treat alcoholism, is effective in relieving tinnitus for some people. However, more research is needed to determine how well it works for tinnitus.

    Ringing in the ears.

    • J B says:

Sometimes, this is a temporary condition following an illness. An over the counter decongestant might help. Sometimes, this becomes a chronic condition and you need to learn techniques to ignore it or go to a tinnitis clinic where they can teach you these things. There are no “remedies” for this condtion.

i have tinnitus in my left ear, what is the best remedy to stop the ringing?
I have had ringing in my ear for many years now it didn’t used to bother me but now it is driving me nuts, what is the best remedy or treatment for tinnitus?

    • Nicolus Shiffer says:

Utilize masking noise. Tinnitus is usually more bothersome when the surroundings are quiet, especially when you are in bed. A competing sound such as a ticking clock, a radio, a fan or white noise machine may help mask tinnitus. Small hearing aid like devices which generate a competitive sound may help reduce the awareness of the tinnitus. You may combine such maskers along with herbal & homeopathic remedies.

Valium, Xanax and Klonopin are benzodiazepine drugs that many doctors prescribe for tinnitus. These are conventional medications which achieve only limited success in tinnitus relief, and usually their bothersome side effects such as dry mouth, blurred vision, and constipation often discourage use.

They are addicting to varying degrees and cannot be used continuously for a long period of time. They are helpful in reducing tinnitus symptoms and aid in sleeping. Valium is the most addicting of these and is not used often for this reason.

Xanax is very popular and is prescribed often for tinnitus. However, the ATA (American Tinnitus Association) report on medications that cause tinnitus lists Xanax as causing it in 6.6% of cases.

There is actually no cure for tinnitus with the conventional medicine. Actually, since last many years, the onus has been on the herbal industry to provide relief, if any, to tinnitus sufferers.

Tinnitus is usually due to damage to the microscopic ends of the hearing nerve in the inner ear. Perfect hearing is possible only if these nerves remain healthy and any damage to these nerves results in tinnitus or hearing impairment.

Some herbal remedies exist which can be used to support all body systems involved in helping the ear to perform its tasks of clear hearing and balance, as well as the circulatory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.

Some of the most common herbs & biochemic tissue salts used are
      • Ginkgo Biloba is excellent for a number of cerebral and circulatory disorders. It is probably the most widely-used herb for tinnitus and many sufferers swear by this natural ingredient.
      • Rosemary dilates and strengthens blood vessels and is an excellent circulation tonic. Rosemary is particularly useful for tinnitus that is caused or worsened by high blood pressure and other circulatory conditions.
      • Avena Sativa is effective in reducing high cholesterol levels which can contribute to circulatory problems which cause tinnitus.
      • Wild Hyssop s also useful in reducing pain and inflammation.
      • Salicylic Ac. (30C) is indicated for tinnitus with loud roaring or ringing sounds, which may be accompanied by deafness or vertigo. This remedy is particularly useful in people whose symptoms began with a bout of flu, Meniere’s disease or long-term use of aspirin.
      • Ferrum phosphoricum (Ferrum phos. D6) is a homeopathic biochemic tissue salt which supports the absorption of iron in the body. The protective myelin sheath which surrounds all nerve tissue needs iron to supply this vital nutrient to the nerve cells it encases. Regular use of Ferrum phos. can help to prevent dizziness, headaches and restlessness and is of great benefit for those who tend to feel irritable, tense and tired.
      • Magnesium phosphate (Mag. phos. D6) well-known as a homeopathic painkiller, Mag. phos. is also of great benefit to the health of the nerves. It acts as a natural anti-spasmodic and a nerve and muscle relaxant and is also frequently recommended for stress headaches.

      Hope all this helps

      Good Luck!

Craniosacral therapy, twice a week, greatly reduced my tinnitus. I don't remember how many sessions it took. Then, I discovered I had late disseminated Lyme disease. The long term antibiotic treatment finished the job. I no longer have tinnitus. Prior to the craniosacral therapy and Lyme diagnosis, my ENT told me I'd have the tinnitus for the rest of my life.

Traumeel S is a mix of plant extracts, each present at around 1%. This is not a typical homeopathic remedy and it would perhaps be more accurate to describe it as a herbal preparation. It wouldn't be entirely surprising that a herbal remedy, unlike the sugar pills and magic water used in homeopathy, might have some beneficial effects.
